THE BUZZ: The Sawyer family legacy has been carved up into separate remakes, prequels, and reboots, but it hasn't stopped Lionsgate from picking up the rights and creating a new movie that explores what the town of Newt, Texas did in the wake of Leatherface's notorious killing spree. Unsurprisingly, there's a Saw-like theme running through the plot, which was handed out freely at the American Film Market and widely distributed online, where it was met with collective indifference.
